
Papakura Golf Course is a
privately owned property. It is owned by the Honk! Group and managed
under a lease.
In its present form, the course is losing money. Honk! Group is
proposing to re-develop it and create a retirement village and a
four-hole, Greg Turner designed course that evokes some of the most
famous golf holes in the sport.
To do so, the Group needs Papakura District Council to lift a
restriction (encumbrance) on part of the property’s title.

Management Plan
A draft management plan for Papakura District’s
iconic Pukekiwiriki Reserve has been released for public comment by
Papakura District Council.
It recognises the site’s cultural,
archaeological and geological significance to the region and to Iwi
Māori of Papakura District.
