Dead Animals

If you have discovered a dead animal in on a road or other public place (other than motorways or state highways) in the District, telephone the Council's Customer Service Centre on 09 295 1300 between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

If you have discovered a dead animal on a motorway or state highway, contact Transit NZ, SailNet 302-4620 or visit www.transit.govt.nz.

If the dead animal is on private property, it is the responsibility of the property owner to dispose of any dead animal.


Injured or Distressed Animals

If you believe an animal is suffering from injury, ill treatment or neglect contact the Auckland SPCA.


Reporting Wandering or Trespassing Stock

To report wandering or trespassing stock on roads, private land and public land (other than motorways or state highways) in the District, telephone the Council's Customer Service Centre on 09 295 1300 between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.


Lost Stock

If you have lost stock, telephone the Council's Customer Service Centre on 09 295 1300 between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday with your details and those of the stock.
